- yam - 1/2 kg
- coconut (scraped) - 1 cup
- yoghurt - 1/2 litre
- mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- curry leaves - 2 sprig
- turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- dry red chillies - 2
- black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- curry leaves - 1 sprig
- oil to taste
- salt to taste
| Preparation Method |
- Cut the yam into cubes. Add the cubed yam to very little water, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, and salt.
- Cover it with a lid and Set it on a medium flame.
- Meanwhile grind the coconut to a fine consistent paste.
- Once the yam is cooked and mixed well with the spices, add the coconut paste to it and let it boil.
- Remember to keep the mixture in a thick kozhambu form.
- Once boiled, set the mixture aside to cool. Once cooled add beaten yoghurt to it.
- Heat oil. Add mustard seeds, dry red chillies and curry leaves to it and add this seasoning to the curry which set aside.
