- Banana pieces - 4 cups
- Curry leaves - 2 stalks
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Broken chillies - 4
- Coconut oil - 4 dsp
- Curd - 1/2 cup
- Dal - 1/2 cup
- Grated Coconut - 1/4 cup
- To be ground :
- Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
- Grated coconut - 3/4 cup
- Cummin seeds - 3/4 tsp
| Preparation Method |
- Cook the dal till soft. add more water if necessary and when it boils, add the banana.
- When it is cooked add the ground turmeric, 3/4 cup of coconut, cummin seeds mix in curds and mash.
- Add the slit green chillies also.
- Allow the curry to simmer and when it is thick, remove from fire and season it by frying curry leaves, mustard, broken chillies and the black gram dal.
- Fry the remaining coconut till golden brown and mix in the curry.
